merchant of Tourouvre, FR n the 16th Century. His second wife was thegrand
daughter of Nicolas Pineau. She was the daughter of Jehan Pineau (Lord of
Launay) and Loyse Clousier. He was from Perche (now Orne). He was one ofthe
earliest to arrive in Quebec at 1634. He was a fur trader at LaFerte-Vidame.

notary-Tronquet (at Trois-Rivieres).

answered that he was 42 in the 1666 census, and living in the village of
St-Jean or St-francois of Quebec. He answered that he was 54 at the 1681
cencus and livingi St-Michel at Sillery; Confirmed as arriving in Quebec23
Mar 1664, at the age of 38. MArried at St. Jacques de Dieppe, Rouen,Normandy.
